Lots of water today at the chateau, both with the rain, canoeing and each group tackling the assault course.
Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day....
A few inches of overnight snow made for a fantastic day skiing yesterday. Everyone loved making fresh tracks in the powder in the morning, followed by some interesting attempts at the snow park. The return to the hotel was punctuated by a very entertaining ski skating race and a snowball fight. With lots of very tired heads, the day was topped off by a stroll around town, games and another movie night, as voted for by the children.
Bread making chant recorded this afternoon at the chateau.
We have all tried snails which went down pretty well! Today we went to the market and then enjoyed making bread inside as it has been raining, which we will be enjoying our for supper.
Latest news from the ski trip: The advanced group experienced a boarder cross course yesterday, whilst the intermediates reached the dizzy heights of 2500m and the beginners are coming along very nicely with their parallel turns. Archery, French lessons, Fencing and Charades in French rounded off the day yesterday at the Chateau. Not such a nice morning today, but all in good spirits and off to go climbing.
Another great day on the slopes yesterday, less sunshine and the odd snow shower in the morning but that didn't stop the beginners group tackling their first blue piste. After another tasty dinner our skiers headed out for bowling where there were some interesting techniques employed.
More canoeing - including fun jumping off the pontoon!
Meanwhile over in Normandy the children are cracking on with their action packed schedule - canoeing and orienteering this morning.
