McHale Academy of Irish Dancing
Description
Building confidence and above all, promoting good health and fitness through Irish Dance within a professional and friendly environment. The Irish Dancing classes are about having fun, building confidence and above all, promoting good health and fitness through Irish Dance within a positive, professional and friendly environment.
Children of all ages are encouraged to develop their strength, flexibility and technique in an energetic and safe environment.
Irish dancing is a great form of physical exercise but it is also an enjoyable way to build self-confidence and learn a unique skill.
Declan McHale TCRG has gained great experience throughout his years of competitive Irish Dancing and touring productions. It's now time to pass it onto the younger generation.
At a tender age of three, Declan started dancing for the Doherty Academy of Irish Dancing in Coventry. Since then Declan has enjoyed huge success in his competitive years obtaining four World Championship titles, three of them consecutively along with All Ireland, Great Britain, British National, and All Scotland Championships. Since competing, Declan passed his teaching exam and has become a registered TCRG (Teagascóir Choimisiúin le Rinci Gaelacha) where he was a teacher at the Doherty Academy and in September 2014 he has opened the McHale Academy of Irish Dancing.
Declan has toured the world extensively with Irish Dance shows including Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Magic of the Dance, as well as regular performances with American Billboard chart toppers Cherish The Ladies. Declan’s highlight of his career is most definitely performing at London's Hyde Park for an audience 80,000 on behalf of the 2010 Papal Visit.

facebook.comAs the 2018 World Irish Dancing Championships has come to an end, I’d like to reflect on the past week of incredible dancing, foot stomping music and making memories that will be remembered for years and years. For such a small school, it is an honour to be even making it to the World Irish Dancing Championships - as a school we had awesome results including: Áine Riley - U11 Girls placing 67th 🎉 Finlay Howat - U13 Boys placing 40th 🎉 Christy Jensen - U20 Men placing 9th 🎉 I think the above tells you that we’re moving in the right direction and it’s only going to get better and better. I’m so proud of you all! Declan.
