Today we have unfortunately, been dealing with some serious issues, in which a veteran who was from Birmingham and has been with us 12 months now, has been detained and remanded by Cheshire police, it’s sad when any crime is committed with our communities by anyone, we feel as an organisation that we have tried to support this veteran, as best as we can, therefore we can only send our apologies for the acts of vandalism and threats of violence within your streets, both yourselves and the charity are victims of his selfish acts, however we can only hope a stint in prison can sort out the veteran who caused these scenes in the last 48 hours. As a charity we do appreciate that some of the veterans have complex issues and over time we try to encourage them to sustain there own living within communities, we are a stop gap in helping veterans move on to civilian careers, since September 2018 we have worked with many veterans in which 10 are now independent living and sustaining jobs. We have supported 20 who have now stopped offending and looking forward to future careers. As a charity we are not cash rich and do rely on grants and community donations, our staff are fantastic in there roles, and we also have several great volunteers who give up there free time to support us.
