Thank you to my Podiatry colleague for sending me this. I survived cancer and left my successful nhs career for a less stressful life in Cumbria working from home. I feel like I can actually begin to belong to the small businesses of Cumbria now without anyone trying to bring me down. I will keep smiling and dancing no matter what life (or neighbours)throws at me!

One of my patients phoned me yesterday while I was at Allerdale Borough Council. She was very poorly and she was worried who would look after her little dog who is diabetic. This situation is a crisis if you’re alone. I was obviously that person she could turn to for help because she knew my specialty was diabetic foot complications. So look who’s come to stay for a while to cheer us all up. My little practice seems to provide lots of different services as well as Podiatry/Chiropody. That situation just puts everything into perspective and makes you realise what’s important in life. ❤️

Cockermouth Chiropody has to go to a panel meeting at Allerdale Borough Council at 1pm today. Cross all your toes that my practice is able to continue working from my home. A few people have been objecting to my practice working from our home down the private road which we own. Due to these complaints myself and my family have had a difficult few months. I have to show that my practice is not noisy, a nuisance or effecting the local amenities. I’m feeling sad and broken but I’m being strong with Fred, Freya and Gaia by my side. I’ll let you all know later how we got on. Thank you so much for all your support. X Adele

Easter holiday fun at loweswater. I love my job but I also love my family! Work/Life balence is sometimes difficult when you have a duty of care to your patients..... but I do need a break sometimes. X

I am proud to announce that my practice has received the prestigious accreditation award from the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. This award means that my practice is compliant to all national standards and best practice.

Happy Easter Holidays! I am off spending some quality Easter time with my family🐣 The practice is closed until Tuesday 10th April when my lovely Podiatry colleague, Lucy, will be covering the clinics. Lucy very kindly travels all the way from Cardiff to help in the practice.

I’ve had a great day catching up with Podiatry colleagues at a lecture on wound care. The event was at my old work place, Arrowe Park Hospital, where I was Lead Podiatrist in the Diabetic Foot Multidisciplinary Team.

More antibiotics again!!!! Reoccurrence of the dreaded chest infection again!! Feeling rough 🤒🤕
