Apparently there is a new strain of the rabbit virus VHD, which is not covered by rabbits' current vaccinations. Many deaths have been reported, although at this time we are not sure of the areas of the country that have been most affected. Further information can be found on the British Rabbit Council website, www.thebrc.org, and if anyone is interested in possibly having their rabbit(s) vaccinated, please let us know and we will try to source some of the vaccine. The price would possibly be around £35, but will be dependent on the number of rabbits as the vaccine comes in packs of 5.
