Surrounded by rolling hills and completely private, Camplebridge is a renovated farm steading of more than 200 years old. Many original features have been retained in the fabric of the building including the original, now floodlit well (securely covered) on the patio.
Local wildlife is abundant with herons, oyster catchers, swallows and red squirrels.
Nearby Thornhill is a delightful rural village with several eating places, pubs and cafés. It is also know for its chic boutiques and local shops.
Activities available locally are wide ranging and cater for all ages - a local horse and pony riding school, over 30 golf clubs in the region and numerous other opportunities for outdoor fun like fishing, walking, cycling and shooting.
Camplebridge is conveniently located for visiting many attractions in Dumfries and Galloway.
Highly recommended for a visit is the nearby Drumlanrig Castle, the ancient Douglas stronghold and home of the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry. And just down the road from Thornhill is Ellisland Farm the home of Scotland's National poet Robert Burns.
