The oldest established tattoo studio in the area, Clacton Tattoo Studio prides itself on delivering the highest quality work available. Clacton Tattoo Studio is located on Clacton Pier. You’ll find us just past the helter-skelter. During the summer months, we’re open from 10 am, 7 days a week. In the winter we are still available, but by appointment only.
Our two skilled tattoo artists, Barry and Phil, have 23 and 20 years experience respectively. As you can see from looking through our photos section, their work is of an exceptionally high standard and covers a range of styles.
Phil and Barry dedicate themselves fully to every tattoo they undertake, and for them to provide the best service possible we need to see you and your design in person – we don’t offer quotes over the phone or on Facebook, so pop into the studio to discuss.
We understand that getting a tattoo is a decision that needs careful consideration and we want to make sure that we understand exactly what you are looking for. We have a huge range of existing designs for you to browse through. We also offer custom work so when you come in, bring with you some photos or rough sketches of your ideas to better illustrate what you want.
We look forward to seeing you in the studio – it’s a great atmosphere with plenty of laughs and a laid-back vibe. While the gentlemen take their work very seriously, we love to have a joke with our customers to help them relax. Our principles may be old school but our studio is modern, clean and fully authorised and checked by the Environmental Agency.

We love this light, carefree design by Barry. The simple bird silhouettes are beautiful and so effective.
This client sat so well for this pretty butterfly tattoo that it was completed by Barry in just 4 hours! It's looking lovely and will look even better when the water shading is all healed.
This pretty rose tattoo took two sittings, you can see how the delicate design progressed down from the client’s shoulder.
