Clacton Boat Club members Kevin and Paul had a trip to The Ross Revenge (Radio Caroline) this morning and had a guided tour and was made very welcome by members of the Clacton Radio Club
Clacton Boat Club member Chris Scrivener with his first smooth hound 5lb 6oz caught on peeler crab , and he had a skate caught on squid.

Clacton Boat Club member Kevin Scrivener took a few members of the club out on board his boat Blippy today 9th June and together they caught 10 smooth hounds , 1 bass , 5 dog fish , 1 whiting , 9 skate , squid was the bait used.

Clacton Boat Clubs newest member Roger had a good first trip with 6 Rays up to 8Lb and only fishing 1/4 mile out from the pier.

Clacton Boat Club member Martin Smyth had a good day out with Kevin with lots of fish.
A busy day for the Clacton Boat Club. Two of its members Kevin Scrivener and Martin Smyth took their own boat out on 23/2/19 and fished the flood tide first tried drift netting for herring but no luck so went rods and caught 10 skate , 1 dogfish , and 1 small whiting , all skate were caught on herring fillets, dog fish and whiting caught on squid, sea was calm and sunny good day out.
Clacton Boat Club members Ted Sargeant and Steve Homan fished Sunday on the flood tide. Using lug and squid and only a couple miles off the beach. Both had a good day with lots of good size Whiting. As the tide slowed the Whiting kept on coming together with some small Skate, not sizeable , hence returned.
