Police warn parents while park attacker remains at large

It has been brought to our attention from 2 parents this morning that an incident occurred in the local part last weekend. I just wanted to let you all know this, so that you can ensure that your children remain closely supervised, particularly at times when the park may be busier as usual. We have been on many trips with the children and know how hard it is to identify one single child in a group of many. While we do not want to encourage a feeling of "stranger danger" in any way, it may be worth for you to consider speaking to your older child about strangers and what's ok and what's not. This could include practicing saying NO, when offered sweets or encouraged to get in someone else's car. Also letting your child know who to go to for help, such as other Parents with young children or screaming things such as "Fire" when they are in danger to ensure people will pay attention. There are many great resources from reputable places online that can help you in making a decision of whether your child is ready for a conversation like that.

Building Work Update: We recently had our kitchen refurbished and we are having some further work done across the nursery over the next few weeks! We are excited to share that we are working on the following: - Re-decorating the nursery hallways and Baby Room - Re-decorating the pre-school toilet and adult toilet - Fitting a purpose built changing table in pre-school for ease of access - Moving the changing area and creating a purpose-built changing station with privacy curtain - Permanently closing up the fence around the property perimeter - Creating a second outdoor area for pre-school children in the front garden Work has started with removal of the large storage unit in Baby Room. We apologise for the undecorated wall behind it but already love the new bigger space. I will try and share some pictures as we go along! x

The nursery will be closed on Friday 27/05/2016 for our annual farm trip. Booking Forms and letters will be sent home over the next week. We are all so excited as we had a blast last year!

Trip to the Natural History Museum

We had so much fun on our trip to the Natural History Museum. We walked to the bus stop, caught the bus, the train and the tube to the museum! It was so exciting! Teaching 2 and 3 Year Olds

Some of our children in pre-school took part in a poetry writing competition. The contributions were lovely and they have been selected to be published in a book which will be displayed in the British Library! The parents of those children that took part will receive a letter that they need to action on to give permission for the work to be published.
