Autumn is all about letting those last rays of light into your house. A customer was asking to see some of my windows yesterday so thought you may be interested. Odd shaped windows (like the last one) are a particular speciality of mine. These are all well weathered so you can see what they will really look like after time - all modelled by my own house 😁 Give me a call or drop me a message if you have any questions.

I have to confess that I'm really pleased with the door I installed this week. Old door was in good condition but flimsy and draughty. Replaced with hand made, oak with double glazed glass units. The snug kitchen now has more light, it is warmer and more spacious as we also changed it to open outwards. I have some spare workshop capacity over the next few weeks so it isn't too late to get your windows and doors made/installed before winter. Peerless Trivia Returns 😁 One of the other woods I use is Beech. A beautiful tree and lovely wood to work with. Did you know: The leaves on a beech tree have hairs and as they get older (just like some of us) they lose their hairs Used for a variety of purposes (my own kitchen worktops are beech), but can also be used for furniture, tool handles and fuel. Some drums are made from beech, which has a tone between those made out of maple and birch, the 2 most popular drum woods. Until next time............... 🤓🤓

Not quite a winters night so no fire lit, but the owner of this is so happy with it she couldn't help but toast her new coffee table. I might add these to my range if anyone else is interested?

So happy to get these pictures today from a client we built a new kitchen for last year. The summer sun set this off beautifully and feel we enhanced the character of a stunning house. Built completely by hand to a bespoke specification, we are very happy how this worked.
