NB John Varley II
Description
A trip boat on Chesterfield Canal owned by Chesterfield Canal Trust based at Tapton Lock Visitor Centre running public trips and private charters. John Varley II is a trip boat licenced to carry 12 passengers. It is owned and managed by Chesterfield Canal Trust and crewed by volunteers. All the crew are trained and skippers are licenced by the National Community Boat Association and all have first aid training. The boat offers a range of trips and private charters.

We had a lovely Valentines Day trip today. The sun came out, lunch was lovely (with lots of seconds requested) and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you to our lovely passengers. Hope to see you again soon.

Valentine's Day Special

Valentine's Day Special
Every year we do several special trips which include lunch at Hollingwood Hub. After a very succesful New year's Day trip the next one on our calendar is Valentine's Day. Why not join us and see the canal as Spring begin's to arrive. Hot drinks are available on the boat as we sail along and there is an opportunity to buy souvenirs of your day with us. 6 hour Cruise
Join us on John Varley II for our 6 hour trip to Staveley Basin and back stopping off for lunch at Hollingwood Hub where you can buy a delicious lunch at Nona's Coffee Shop or if you prefer bring along a picnic. There is also the opportunity to buy hot drinks on board the boat as we travel along and some nice souvenirs of your day with us. Adults £21, concessions £16. Call 01629 533020 to book.

Despite the cold wet weather a good time was had by all on our Special New Years Day trip on John Varley II with lunch at Hollingwood Hub. Christmas Eve on John Varley II to finish off our Santa Trips for this festive season. We will have welcomed around 1064 passengers on our boat since we started on November 19th. But please remember that boat trips are not just for Christmas. Keep an eye on this facebook page for our trips in 2017 starting with New Years Day.
