We are proud to announce our next competition date will be Sunday April 22nd 2018. Better run and more improved.
Wheels are in motion👊🏽👊🏽
Plans are in place for our second event for 2018. More improvements, better for competitors!!
Thank you to everyone that came and supported the Cheltenham BJJ Open today all the staff that made the day as successful as it was we couldn't have done it without any of you. To all the competitors, clubs and coaches thank you for supporting us and making the event what it was. We hope to see you in the future... watch this space.
Our priority is to give every competitor a positive experience as for many it's the 1st time of competing. A few questions we are being asked: 1. Will weigh ins be in the Gi? Yes all weigh ins you will have to wear your GI, however we are fairly lenient so if you are slightly over it will not be a problem. We are not ADCC or a big tournament so we are willing to be slightly flexible 2. What time are weigh ins? Weigh in times are as follows kids 9am for a 9.30am start, White belt adults 11.30am for a 12,30pm start, Blue belts 12.30 for a 1.30pm start. We have had to change the start times due to the amount of competitors in the adult categories. We will try to run as smooth as possible. Please do not be late for your weigh in as your category starts and you arrive late you will not be able to compete. 3. When will medals be awarded? All winners medals will be awarded as soon as your category is finished. We will be running a knockout tournament so winners only advance unless its for 3rd place as you will fight for bronze. 4. Can I enter on the day? No. Entries are now closed. 5. Can spectators pay on the door? Yes. 6. There are only 2 in my category who will that work? If there is 2 in a category it will be a straight final for 1st & 2nd place. 7. If there is only 3 in my category how does that work? As stated in the ibjjf rulebook on 3 competitors in a division the winner of the first match goes through to the final and the losing athlete faces the third competitor in the bracket. Whoever wins that match will go through to the final to face the winner of the first match. 8. How do I pick up my coaches pass? All coaches please go to the entrance of the sports hall and either see Katie or Paul for your wristband. if you have any other questions or queries please let us know
