2016 Raveningham country fair
https://www.facebook.com/events/1661909297469918/ Still looking for tug of war teams to take part at the fair on Sat 3rd September. For this first time, this year we are introducing a Tug of War competition between local teams and scratch teams (adult and child) made up on the day. We hope this will provide a lot of fun for participants and audience so if you are interested in joining in, please email Norman at normanjpain@gmail.com. Its looking to be a great year with displays of full size and model steam engine, stationary engines, classic cars, old tractors, working displays, steam threshing, bygone and model displays, ring events, Beer tent with real ales, Refurbishment and tea tent, Birds of Prey, working Horse displays, Tug of war competition, Martial Arts demos, Clown acts, Punch and Judy, bouncy castle, donkey rides, dog show, terrier racing, ferret displays, Viking encampment, dance displays, dance troops, and a large selection of trade stalls. There will be live music through out the day, and there will be evening entertainment in the beer tent on the Saturday night (all welcome). Adults £5 under 16's free. There really is something for every one at this traditional fair, that was started back in 1977 at the Raveningham Threshing Fair, that still raises money for not only the Raveningham Group of Churches, but also local good needs and charities. ALL of the organising teem are volunteers. For more info please go to our web site at www.ravefair.co.uk, or one of the contacts bellow.
