We have said goodbye today to two wonderful visitors who came from the States to celebrate the wedding of a local young man and his American wife. One, Rob, who is quite a celebrity in the US having cycled all over the country in aid of war veterans and is about to embark on back to back marathons for the same cause. The other, Jack, a retired firefighter from Boston, Mass, who now runs a very popular Italian restaurant. We were so sorry to see them go and hope that they will return some day. This is such a rewarding life!

It's a beautiful day today. People are out enjoying the calm water on canoes and paddle boards and others are at the Institute having morning coffee and chatting to friends. It has been a busy few days here at "On the Rocks" and at Cawsand/Kingsand in general. There is a big (local) wedding taking place at Port Elliot today and visitors from near and far have been enjoying the village life to the full.
