UK Storm Centre

Our yurt had to deal with strom Clodagh, Desmond, Eva and Frank in the last few months. Glad to say our yurts are officially bomb proof, after six weeks ans three storms later our yurt in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park was just as we left it. Storm Frank tried its best to blow away our yurt but we managed to defeat even that storm, Frank was about 56 miles per hour. Quite impressive a very basic and simple structure as a yurt can hold its own in a storm like storm Frank. Very impressed with our yurts. Just had a look at the metoffice website and realised our daughter Imogen has a storm named after her, be carefull when it hits the UK, might be quite a powerfull storm ;-) http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/uk-storm-centre

That's our green yurt back from Pittenweem, Fife. Had to go the long way around as we we're not allowed on the forth road bridge with our van as it was too windy. Massive thanks to Flora, Landa and the whole family for helping us with taking down the yurt. Storm Frank was making it pretty difficult to get the covers of our yurt, not easy when you're having to deal with 58 miles an hour wind force. Never tried to take down one of our yurts in a storm but it's all back in the workshop in one piece so we're over the moon. Nice to meet you all, thanks for helping us so much whilst taking the yurt down and also thanks for the endless supply of tea and hot chocolate, Imogen had a great time. Sorry she ate most of the chocolate decorations from the Christmas tree ;-) Hope to see you all again in the future, good to hear you've had a great 21st birthday party, can't wait to see the pictures.
