Carlisle Green Room Club Ltd
Description
Carlisle Green Room Club is an Amateur Theatre based in West Walls, Carlisle. We have been running since 1952 and have a 142 seat theatre and bar. Welcome to the official page of Carlisle Green Room Club, Carlisle's longest running Theatre. The Club was started in 1952 by a small group of players who hired a small room in Carlisle to put on their productions. Now, more than 60 years later, we have our own 142 seat Theatre that puts on 7 productions a year plus outside hirings. We also have a club room which holds our bar for Club events and puts on our 'Theatre Downstairs' productions.
We are a registered charity and run entirely by volunteers. We have 170 + members who get involved in many different ways such as acting, directing, set design, front of house, sound & lighting and much much more. We are always looking out for new members and you'll always be given a warm welcome!

AUDIENCE NOTICE! This is a notice re the access to West Walls Theatre at this moment in ime. The West Walls road at the Tesco end is closed to vehicles and pedestrians. On no account must anyone use this road as it is unsafe (a chimney has come down at the Central Plaza Hotel) There is access for both from Chivers up to Marks & Spencer which will include the Sallyport steps. There will be a barrier across the road but this can be moved for vehicle access. We understand from the Highways Dept. that this could be up to the middle of next week, so we recommend all audience members park in the West Walls Car Park, and if approaching on foot, come from that end of the road.
Opening this Monday 29th January, BROADWAY BOUND tells the semi-autobiographical story of How comedy writer Neil Simon found his way into the industry, helped (or hindered!) by his family!
