Thank you to everyone who has liked and shared the image of the unusual labyrinth we created for Chislehurst Methodist Church in Kent England . The image below shows it alongside the original 'water labyrinth' on which my colleague Jeff Saward based the design. This was built around 1750 in the Qasr al-Azm palace in Damascus, Syria. One wonders if this symbol that fosters harmony, love and understanding has survived the opposite facets of human nature that are tearing that country apart and causing such immense suffering and loss of life.
