Due to recent expansion and major contract awards, Gentili UK are looking to appoint a number of experienced auto-electrical engineers to work on our customers’ vehicles in our 24,000 sq ft workshop at Cannock, Staffordshire. The candidates should hold in depth auto electrical knowledge, including but not limited to: Having the ability to diagnose and rectify auxiliary electrical system faults Installation of 12v auxiliary electrical systems including split charge, battery guard and auxiliary battery banks Installation of 240v or 110v inverters and charging systems Installation of navigation systems, trackers, and alarms Candidates must be hardworking, be committed and conscientious and have the ability to adapt quickly to a team environment whilst being able to work independently. Experience of fitting slam/dead locks, 24v systems and in-van racking equipment will also be an advantage. Applicants must have at least 2 years’ experience within the automotive industry. The successful candidates must have good timekeeping, punctuality and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates must have a full clean UK driving licence and be prepared to occasional off-site work at customer locations. 20 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays. PRODUCTION AND LOGISTICS SUPPORT TECHNICIAN REQUIRED Gentili United Kingdom is a leading vehicle conversion business based centrally in Cannock, Staffordshire, and is a member of the Gentili Group of Companies; headquartered in Italy with subsidiaries in the UK, the USA, and Italy; and boasts an impressive network of supplying dealers in all four corners of the globe. We convert vehicles to meet customers’ individual requirements; including van lining, van racking, tow bars, roof racks, inverters, trackers, beacons, livery, and specialist fit-outs to accommodate some of our customers’ most demanding and sometimes bizarre requests. In 2019 we are set to significantly increase our turnover and through-put of vehicles and as such, we are seeking to appoint a Production and Logistics Support Technician with immediate effect. Key Responsibilities: In this position you’ll be involved with fulfilling the following duties: • Accepting brand new vehicles from manufacturers into our secure storage compound, by carrying out in-depth inward inspections to ensure all damage or missing items is noted on the manufacturer’s delivery note. • Ensuring the storage yard is well organized, with vehicles parked in the appropriate bays and zones and is safe and secure at the end of the working day. • Liaising with production management to prepare vehicles to come from the storage yard into our workshops for works to be carried out and then working with production to ensure completed vehicles are returned to the storage compound to await customer collection. • Valeting of vehicles to a high standard prior to customer collection and to undertake final visual Quality Checks on the vehicles against the works order job card. • To fit final finish items to vehicles such as number plates, information labels, seat covers, floor mats and no-smoking signs. • To be responsible on a daily basis to ensure all keys for new vehicles arriving have been allocated and stored in our key-tracker system. • To handover vehicles to customers or their representatives at the point of collection and to produce delivery notes from our inhouse software. This is an additional post to our existing team member in the same role, and it is expected that the successful applicant will work closely alongside the existing member of staff and that a weekly revolving rota of duties be mutually agreed so that at all times one Production and Logistics Support Technician is based at the workshop site and the other at the Storage Yard. Key Skills: Dealing with a large number (900+) of high value vehicles belonging to our customers we require someone who has excellent planning and organisational skills, confidence in dealing with customers at point of vehicle drop off and/or collection; someone who has excellent communication skills and who pays attention to the smallest of details. A full UK driving license is a pre-requisite of being offered the post, as is excellent written and oral English and numeracy skills. On week’s where you will be stationed at the Storage Yard, the ability to work on your own initiative. The Small Print You will work 40 hours per week at our facility in Cannock. Extended hours may be required to meet deadlines, for which overtime rates would apply. You will be equipped with the tools and resources you need to do your job; and will have the full backing of senior management and the Board of Directors to develop your job function. Holidays are 28 days per year (including Bank Holidays and a week shutdown over Christmas and the New Year). The salary offered is fully negotiable and dependent on skills and experience and is paid weekly in arrears.
