Well what a finish that was to the stock car season. I would like to thank all the drivers that turned up and help provide a cracking meeting for the crown. Just one more event this season and that is the final meeting for the Drifters. This takes place this weekend the 11th and 12th November from 10am both days. First time in over 15 years that we have held a bonfire and firework meeting and what a success it was. Yes it was cold but it certainly warmed up once the fire was lit. We have learnt some things that will change for next years event but we will be back bigger and better for 2018. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all drivers, staff and spectators for your support thought out the whole of 2017. From the very first fixture we have been working hard to advertise and keep our drivers happy where possible. 2017 has certainly been a learning curve for myself and the team at Buxton Raceway but we have managed to finish the season with a cheer and some exciting racing and that's all we ask for. Plenty of smiles around the terracing and in the pits. Fixtures are under way and will be published as soon as we have a full list so keep an eye on the website and also the Facebook page.

Something different this Sunday at Buxton Raceway with racing and also to finish the stock car season we have a spectacular firework display and caravan race. Due to it needing to obviously be dark for when the fireworks go off we are starting racing later than normal with a 2.30pm start time. With plenty of races and action planned we are set for an awesome afternoon/evening of family fun entertainment. Spectator gates will open at 12 Noon so that you can come in and see the cars practice and also get the best space around the track for the firework display. Buxton have hired a firework display team to come and put the show on so get ready for what will be an explosive end of the season finale. The last race of the season will be a caravan race which the drivers and public have asked for so this will put the seal on the stock car season at Buxton. Adults are £15 Children 9 to 15 £6 KIDS up to 8 FREE more info can be found at www.buxtonraceway.com
