facebook.comWe are proud to announce that novas has been awarded the Bolton mark for the second time running! This means we have managed to meet and show our high standards the whole time we have been open! Just in time for the new year, we are also proud to have the award for inclusion showing that we do our best to ensure anyone can take part and will be fully included. A big thankyou to the sport department at both bury and bolton for all your help and guidance this past year. It has been a pleasure to work with you. Shine bright novas!
Happy New year everyone! We hope all our novas and families had a lovely Christmas break and wish you all health and happiness for 2018. Thankyou to you all for all of your support in 2017 and we have so much to look forward to this year. We can't wait to get back to classes this week. 🌟
Quick reminder, Novas is now closed for Christmas and New year. The classes are back open from the 5th January. We have had an amazing year and loved every bit of it. We want to thank everyone that has helped us in classes. A massive thank you to those that have helped with advice and encouragement for our club, you all know who you are. Thank you everyone that has worked with us. 2018 is going to be even bigger. Lots planned. Have an amazing Christmas and New year. Oh, thank you for our crimbo presents, cards and chocolate. Love and respect Lewis and Jay 🙂😎🎅
Photos sent in by some of our students, you are all looking awesome!
myself and Jay miss stacy so much. Jay came up with idea to run this every year in stacys memory. From everyone at Novas, parents and zone staff we all hope she continues to be so proud of Thomas. I know me, Jay and Russ are.
Novas had an extremely busy week last week, classes were booming, everyone was working super hard and we had lots going on. Wednesday evening was Bury sports awards which we were very grateful to be invited to. After Wednesday classes we headed straight to the awards which was an awesome event with a great atmosphere. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to the late end and those with us having school the next day. We were over the moon to have been put forward in our first year and will continue to push forward for and with our students. Sunday, we held an anniversary party which was nice to get to spend time with some of our nova family. It was a great turn out and all children's behaviour was mentioned by venue staff which was awesome to hear. Thankyou again to all students, parents and families. We have lots lined up for the coming months and lots of opportunities for our novas. 🌟
Novas saw 75 students grade last night with another 100% pass rate. They all worked hard, pushed themselves to the limit with 100% effort and didn't quit! We are so proud of each and every one of you. Well done on achieving your next grade, time to push forward and set new goals to smash. Thankyou again to all parents, Sensei Joe and staff at the zone!
One year ago today we were eagerly awaiting the very first nova classes; extremely excited but the nerves were there. It had been something that had been in talking for years and now after trying to get it exactly how we envisioned, was finally taking shape. The aim for novas was to make martial arts available to all, to build confidence and to do anything whenever/wherever possible to get rid of bullying. We originally started with two classes; one for younger children and one for older children with 24 children attending the first free session. Since then novas is open five days a week teaching various different classes with nearly 150 committed students. We have seen the growth of all those involved and have achieved so much more than originally thought possible as a club. Through hard work and determination this year alone has seen novas become Bolton mark accredited, be shortlisted for 7 awards, attend it's first competition, hold gradings, be invited to different events and charity events, grow rapidly, work with many other services and become so much more. More importantly we have seen our students improve, grow as people and bond; novas has become a unit, a family which we believe is one of our biggest achievements as a club yet. However, not everything this year has been great. As mentioned previously we lost a valued member of our nova family suddenly this year who will be truly missed. This week will see novas biggest grading to date followed shortly by our one year anniversary party! 🎉 A huge thankyou to all our students, parents, families and Sensei Joe Tierney for all your guidance and support. We are excited to see what the future holds and we will continue to push forward positively to ensure novas will be the very best it can be. 🌟 Novas shine Bright 🌟
Novas in Bolton a few weeks back. We get asked often to go do some community work within Bolton sports events. We have been so busy this year we just haven't had the time. Next year we look forward to attending as many as we can. And hope our Novas can come along to 😊😊😎
