The Bude Calendars arrived from the printers yesterday so I'll be dispatching all pre-orders today and they will start appearing in Bude shops on Monday :-) Ex-pats and non-residents can of course, order post free, from my website. :-)

This year, due to popular request, I am able to offer businesses the opportunity to order personalised versions of any of my calendars. They have their business logo on the cover; two business photographs, logo and contact details on all the spreads; and a bespoke back cover. Here is an example of a Bude calendar customised for The Beach Haven holiday cottage. Minimum quantity is just 50 calendars. My office is getting full of boxes which can only mean it's calendar time again! I currently have three different ones available from stock with a further two at the printers. There is the usual Cornwall one but in addition this year there is a specific Poldark Locations calendar. Another new one is the North Cornwall calendar as well as the established Bude and Port Isaac ones. Take your pick on my website: www.timmartindale.co.uk

It's often handy having a willing model around - even if he doesn't always look his best! This is post-stagnant pool swim and you can almost smell him in the photo!! As I usually have an ultra-wide angle anlgle lens attached to my DSLR, the little Lumix LX100 from HBH Woolacotts is very handy to grab spontaneous shots like this

This photo of mine has just been turned into an impressive 3m long canvas by the good folk at Seventh Wave Gallery, Bude, Cornwall. It was specially commissioned by architects for an upmarket show-home. The photo shows Martyn in the gallery doing a fine impression of the Angel of the North statue!

It has to be said that the lens on the Lumix LX100 is a cracker. I often use it wide-open as it's really sharp and renders lovely, smooth out-of-focus backgrounds which can be really hard to achieve with smaller sensor-cameras and lesser lenses. We have had a few of gorgeous sunsets recently but certainly not these last two days! Here's a soothing image from the weekend; taken from Maer High beach, looking down towards the cliffs at Dizzard, after the sun went down. A slightly unusual technique - I hope you like it?
