Buckie Harbour
Description
Moray's main commercial harbour, offering cargo handling, fisheries services and dredging. Buckie Harbour (Cluny Harbour) was built by the Cluny family in 1877 to replace the town's first stone harbour in Nether Buckie which was constructed in 1857 a mere mile or so to the west but had a tendency to silt up and become unusable.
The decline of the fishing industry over the last 20-30 years in the UK has had an impact on the port, like many others. Buckie Harbour is far from dead though with animal feeds, grain, stone, fish, manufactured goods and other commodities all being imported or exported.
The team at Buckie Harbour are always looking for new opportunities to show what we can do for our customers.

Good morning, that was some day of rain yesterday! At least it will be dry the next couple of days. Sunny spells will mean that some will see temps of 21°c but for most it will feel more like 16°c. This is due to the wind, which will be coming from the SE, as it averages 18mph with gusts of 25-29mph. Saturday will be much the same but with the wind more easterly and Sunday will start with rain and be a bit cooler due to the wind swinging round to the north. High tide - 10.44 (3.8m) 23.15 (3.9m) Low tide - 17.04 (1.0m)
Good morning, looks like we've a wet day ahead of us unfortunately. The wind will be coming from the west today and average 15mph with gusts of 24mph in the afternoon. Temperatures may reach 15°c but will feel more like 10°c. The rain will kick off shortly and be light for a start but get heavier though the day and into the evening. Busy day again at the harbour with stone being loaded onto the H&S Bravery at pier 1 by the stevedoring team while the team from Allelys start to prepare for the next transformer movement on Sunday morning. The vessel Hendrik S departed after finishing unloading over 2,000 tonnes of malt yesterday. The crews love coming to Buckie and some even managed to go to Finechty yesterday for a shot in the skiff. They all commented on how stunning our coastline is and were even lucky enough to be visited by our dolphins.
Good morning, another fine day ahead if a bit breezy. It will be a sunny day with temperatures set to peak over 20 °c. The wind will be from the SE to ESE and average 22mph with gusts of 30mph. Despite the nice day it is set to rain in the evening and the wind will be a little higher too. High tide - 08.19 (3.6m) 21.12 (3.6m) Low tide - 14.57 (1.2m)
Good morning, and what a cracker it is already today! The current light winds from the SE at 3-5mph will gradually build to around 17mph average after lunch time. The temperature is set to again be over 20°C with some spots likely to be 25°C or more. In otherwords it's going to be a hot day and with little cloud cover it will be sunny too so don't forget your suncream if going out and about, especially on the water. Low tide - 13.44 (1.2m) High tide - 20.01 (3.5m)
Our 2 vessels for today. The Eems Spirit is here with the next set of transformers and the Hendrik S has a load of Malt on her.
