There was a surprising turnout of 39 competitors,in awful conditions, for our March Club Shoot. The decision was taken to just open the top DTL layout,as it wasn't the sort of day to be standing outside, shooting Skeet,or to be trying to shoot OT in poor light, and,a biting wind blowing in your face. A total of 24 lines of DTL were shot, with only 2 straights from Ian Fleming and Ian Corbett,in the resulting shoot off,Fleming took the honours.. In the club members competition, four shooters had finished with 44x45,Dermot McQuillan,John Magill,James Martin O'Boyle and Willie Donnelly,. Dermot and John had left,so James and Willie shot off, with Willie taking the win.. Thank you to all who took part, sure it was a bit of craic.. Our next shoot is the final round of the Floodlight League,on Friday coming 9th of March..Everybody Welcome..

There was a large turnout of shooters for our first shoot of 2018,on a rather cold and breezy, but bright sunny day.. 52 competitors shot 23 lines of DTL,with 8 straights from,Raymond Clyde,Nigel Hunter,Sandra Barr,John Church,Paddy McNulty,Ivan Montgomery,Sean Martin and David McAllister(with a new gun)..In the first round of the single barrel shoot off,Clyde and Barr both had 14's,so had to shoot again, with Clyde taking the win with another 14.. The Skeet layout saw 49 entrants shoot the 25 practice with 4 shooters breaking 25's,Alister Stewart x2,,Ryan McCrellis x2,,Tommy Hall and Carson Lindsay.. We as a club, will have to look at maybe running a Skeet competition at the Club shoots,as it is proving very popular. The OlympicTrap layout ran continuously all day,and the entrants here included Team NI Athletes Kirsty Hegarty and David Henning, who are heading to Australia to compete in the Commonwealth Games in April.. "Thanks Everyone" for your support,..
