Happy Friday evening all! We just wanted to let you know, as we've already had a few enquiries for September and beyond, that we will not be able to take bookings beyond August and below explains why (it's a long one!); Some of you will be aware of the fact that the property was for sale. It is with mixed emotions that we can tell you that last week we accepted an offer and the property will be sold as of 1st September 2017 to allow us to honour our current bookings. The property belonged to my Grandmother, Minnie Pace, who passed away in December 2006. I moved into the property in 2007 at the age of 17 and despite a brief spell in Glasgow for university stayed there until 2016. We bought our dream place at the end of last year, a 3 acre croft in Brora and put Minnie's Place on the market. Come April this year the house was still empty so we decided to offer it as a holiday let for the summer initially, then if successful and if a sale was not forthcoming we would keep the place operating as a holiday home. This changed last week and the house won the love of our buyers in the space of 30 minutes. All current bookings made direct to Minnie's Place and via Airbnb are safe, no bookings were taken beyond August and we regret that we can not take any more bookings beyond the end of August 2017. We have very limited July & August availability. Anyone wishing to follow our new croft journey can find us over at 189 Crofthaugh where we have exciting plans, some of which may or may not involve accommodation of sorts. But mostly just pictures of goats, pheasants and chickens just now 😊 A massive thank you to everyone who shared the property as being for sale and available as a holiday let and a special thanks to the people that helped us get the house ready for letting through cleaning, painting, moving, donating items and generally just supporting us. You are all stars. With Castle tours, amazing gardens and incredible falconry displays (subject to time of year) Dunrobin Castle is fantastic fun for all of the family. The property sleeps 6, has free off street parking for two cars and a free public car park to the front of the property and has a rear garden which gets the Scottish sun (when it shows!) for most of the day.

The house is nearly ready to share with you all and we are so excited to have finally reached this stage! We are at the final push, tidying the rooms and painting the (massive!) hallway and should be listing the house on Airbnb very shortly. Today the bed linen and towels arrived and tonight (although my husband doesn't know it yet!) we are off to pick up the last two big pieces of furniture for the house. New carpets were laid a few weeks ago courtesy of Sutherland Carpets Beds and Furniture and new blinds are going in next week from Brora Blinds. We have three confirmed bookings now and look forward to welcoming our first guests to Minnie's Place on 1st June. I can't wait to get the pictures up and show you all what a lovely wee place it will be to stay in!
