Curry Leaf Cafe's Kemptown Kitchen serves up authentic Indian street food, curries, craft beer & cocktails from a colourful open-plan kitchen/dining space in the heart of Kemptown Nestled on a corner between Brighton's bustling St James's Street & Kemptown Village a short stroll to the east, Curry Leaf Cafe's new Kemptown Kitchen features a stylish open kitchen & dining area designed to allow customers to interact with the chefs preparing their food. Tall glass windows equipped with stools for counter-top dining, colourful decor and a small (but perfectly formed) bar stocked with a fantastic range of craft beers & spiced cocktails combine to make our Kemptown Kitchen ideally suited to the area's unique approach to nightlife.
THE MENU
Small plates & street food are what our new Kemptown Kitchen is all about; dishes designed to be shared with friends over spiced cocktails and craft beers. The menu leans heavily on local farms and producers for its ingredients – as does the bar for its craft beer & cocktails – and changes on a monthly basis to keep things fresh and exciting. Where the original Brighton Lanes cafe focuses on authentic South Indian food, our new Kemptown Kitchen mixes things up with a modern, playful take on casual dining that borrows from all quarters of India's culinary heritage – with a few interesting detours thrown in.
RESERVATIONS
Kemptown Kitchen operates a 'first come, first served' walk-in-only policy; during busy times, diners are invited to take a drink at the bar while they wait or can be added to our waitlist app and be notified by text when their table is available.
