Please note Thorndon Country Park is currently closed due to high winds. We will re-open once the site is safe to enter.
Please note we will be felling some trees within the park which unfortunately will mean closing the Centre car park from Monday 5th February to Thursday 8th February. Our second car park will be open as usual.
Pop along to the visitor centre to pick one of these charming little treats
With the clocks going back an hour last weekend the car parks at Thorndon Country park will now close at 4:30pm and the Visitor Centre will close at 4pm. Hope to see you soon.
Our north car park and visitor centre are closed from today until Thursday morning as a result of temporary road closures in the surrounding area. You can still access the park through the south car park and we look forward to seeing you.
The visitor centre is open this weekend for you to enjoy However, the north car park and the visitor centre will be closed on Monday 2nd, Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th as a result of local temporary road closures. You can still access the country park during this time through the south car park entrance and car park and the Pavillion cafe is open 9am - 3pm daily.
Quick reminder that the north car park and visitor centre will be closed Thursday and Friday (28th and 29th September) due to a temporary road closure on The Avenue. You can still access the country park; just use the south car park. The Pavillion Café will be open for you to pop in for some refreshment. Open 9am to 3pm daily.
