Willow Tree Fishery is set in a mature 6 acre farm estate in the peaceful rural village of Hook end Brentwood Essex, the lake its self is 35 years old and has 15 well spaced natural swims
Willow Tree was stocked in 1983 with 40 carp and has never been a fishery until now giving it the excitement of the unknown,. with old original English fish.
Each member that joins our syndicate this year will be able to see the benefits of there member ship money by being invited to the stocking programme for 2017 we have some of the most stunning carp available on order for this December and our plan going forward is to have the average fish weight being 20lb + with some nice additional surprises at 30+ with the correct stocking and feeding programme in place you as the members will be part of something from the start and future. as the fishery owner i am as transparent with my plans as i want all to be involved.
The average depth is 8ft and the shallowest point of 4/5 ft around the island and the deepest being 12ft in areas.
The bottom is mainly silt with the odd patch of weed and hard spots making it easy enough to present a rig from any swim.
Willow tree describes the fishery in a nut shell with plenty of over hanging trees, reed lined banks, a island and lily pads also present giving you plenty of features to fish to.
Other fish present in the lake are Tench, Perch, Roach

I WONDER HOW MANY ANGLERS WILL READ THIS POST. OR HOW MANY CARE ENOUGH TO EVEN WANT TO READ IT ????????????????MAJOR Concerns nationwide About the two biggest threats to my industry at present. Firstly. KHV. KOI HERPÈS VIRUS. a virulent introduced virus that like all viruses can sit and wait for the Right time to pounce in times of physical stress. Ie heightened Temperatures this virus is Nationwide. It can Suddenly Appear THERE IS NO ACTION I OR ANY PROFESSIONS. CAN TAKE TO AVOID THE INEVITABLE 100% DEATH RATE. YEP ALL CARP WILL DIE. AND THERE IS EVIDENCE TO SUGGEST THAT WHILST IT IS A CARP VIRUS. CATFISH SILURUS GLANIS. WELS CAN CARRY IT. DURING MY TIME IN FRENCH CIRCLES MOST FISH FARMERS AND PISCICULTEURS I worked with . HELD THIS BELIEF. SO TO THE SECOND issue. High temps low oxy expect to hear about Problems I ask all anglers to be vigilant. Report issues. Irrespective if it’s on a public private or wild waterway Finally Keep cleaning and drying Gear. Pay attention also to mud in treads of boots even tyres that may have be in contact with damp fishery soil ie a slip way also bank sticks hold a lot of water. Basically. Do your best to holt the spread .private fisheries on Private forums are all over this and without naming waters as it’s not my place there are some devastating and indeed heartbreaking Stories Help me and the guys who provide you with a venue. Stem the tide of the spread and understand its our lively hood so If we impose restrictions. Or temp closures we are protecting us all you ,stocks and fellow fishery owners. We won’t get outside help it’s down to us as a body of like minded people to ensure our future as a pastime
Altho we supply all nets/mats/slings on site we are trying our up most to prevent the spread , all members please share this we can only do as much as we can but we need you all to follow pursuit. Before any one proceeds to fish we need all of you to report to the office or call Alan on 07795 068183 We have implied a dipping tank next to the office and there is a few protocols that need to be taken prior to you set up Sorry if this is a inconvenience but this is a serious matter and any body that fails to comply will be asked to leave immediately and banned for life you will also be named and shamed for your own silliness... We have spent untold on stock and matience and up keep of our syndicates and we dont want it ruined due to un careful angling and laziness.... At this time the areators will be running 24/7
Announcement Can all willow and clear water members please share and read Due to the recent outbreaks of KHV We want all members to report to the office please prior to fishing there is a few protocols we have set that need to be addressed before you continue to fish either willow or clear water any body that wishes to not follow our request Will be asked to leave immediately. This out break is serious now and we aint taking any chances Please report to a member of staff Or call Alan prior to your trip on 07795 068183
There’s been a couple of outbreaks of the dreaded KHV again in Essex this last week and Here at willow tree we have always tried our utmost best to prevent this by supplying nets/slings/mats. And this is why we ask every single member to respect and look after the kit they use.. you wonder why we have a moan when u dont respect it because you would all be the first to pick the phone up or jump on social media if there was a total mortality and the lakes was forced closed by the EA Anybody refusing to follow our rules will be asked to leave the Fishery. This isnt a joke any more and it needs to be addressed to prevent this from wiping out more peoples businesses and your hobby come on lets all stick together here and help each other....
