Description

Based in Bourne, Lincolnshire; D & M Haulage Ltd specialises in bulk produce distribution, container traffic and event logistics support. After a long and successful career in the driver training and risk management industry and a sound background in the transport industry, Dave and Michelle took the decision June 2013 to go right back to where everything started in the early 80's in Lincolnshire and launched D & M Haulage Ltd supplying transport solutions to produce suppliers and container shippers.
Applying the same standards to customer care that Dave & Michelle have been noted for in their former careers, D & M Haulage has quickly established a growing reputation to supply quality transport solutions to their clients.

Sunday morning: a couple of peaceful hours to have a cuppa, chill and think about the week.... 1 rejected load due to a clerical error and another with an administrative issue about weight put the whole team in the wrong places with service appointments that still needed to be met and get the guys back home on time... Daf doing their utmost to resolve our fuel issues with the 530 with software updates and driver training.. Multiple interviews for the new positions.... Poor (old now) Brian P sets off home for a long weekend and his car dies... Huge thanks again to Kennington Commercials and Chris Saint Communications for cramming a load of work in to get the R450 ready for work... Endless phone calls and emails as we secure the new HQ for D&M... And within the hour it's back down to the yard for a marathon cleaning session..

And as we continue to expand and the workload continues to grow, we need to add yet another C+E tramper to the crew. If you fancy some of the variety of work we cover and want to be involved in a team rather than the usual Boss & Minions and can cope with occasional weekend work, some crazy start times and some nights in hotels in exchange for a £33,800 basic salary plus overtime, an up to date, well maintained motor fitted with inverter, microwave and fridge etc....... Give Dave a call on 07715009591 or send us a message

Normally at this time of the year we'd be grumbling about quiet work, bad weather affecting operations or the effect of the Chinese New Year celebration knock on effect.🤔 This year is so very different: in the last couple of weeks we've added to the O licence capacity, added our third truck and today we welcome Mark W to the team. Mark joins us as we are going through a particularly manic time where the guys are maxing out on their hours, trucks are running 24/7 and clients are still looking for more. Couldn't wish for a better team 🤗 The business plan for 2018 is on course and going ahead at warp speed: we'll shortly be sourcing two more trucks and looking for 2 more trampers and a further local driver for day/night runs. 📈

We are now looking to add to our team: If you've a C+E, over 25 and No more than 6 points and can demonstrate safe driving history, we'd like to hear from you. We offer a £33,800 basic salary and £25 subsistence. Modern, well maintained kit and most importantly, a team atmosphere. As a lot of our event and bulk potato work involves some weekends in the busiest periods, the ideal candidate must be prepared to be flexible, at times double man and occasionally, use hotels for rest periods and preferably hold a passport. Preference will be given to a local candidate where possible.
