With beautiful scenery & wildlife, this traditional, charming house is perfect for friends & family wanting to relax in a majestic setting. Sleeps 6. Cairns is an attractive, spacious, detached, single-storey holiday property situated in two acres including an orchard of plum and apple trees. There is a large private trout pond, which guests can catch their supper (rods provided) and fishing is also available at a private stretch of the River Isla. It lies in a quiet and rural location with panoramic views of the Vale of Strathmore and local countryside just outside of the village of Alyth in beautiful Perthshire.
The perfect location in which to relax, unwind and enjoy the views or stroll through the garden, where peacocks may wander. This is an ideal area for riding and hill walking, with the Cateran Trail close by. For the more adventurous, there is a selection of munro mountains including Ben Vrackie, Beinn a’Ghlo and Glas Tulaichean in the area. Golfers will be just 2 miles from Glenisla Golf Course and five 18-hole and two 9-hole courses all within easy driving distance, including the championship Rosemount course at Blairgowrie Golf Club.
Further afield, the world famous courses at Gleneagles, and the historic St Andrews Links, are both 40 miles distant. There are many castles, stately homes and gardens nearby, including Glamis and Scone Palace. Winter skiing is available at Glenshee Ski Centre just 30 miles away. During the season, guests may pick their fruit for the table free of charge. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Large kitchen with gas/electric range (for cooking), breakfast area, wooden floor, leading to conservatory with TV, loch views and patio doors. Pantry. Utility. Two double bedrooms, each with 6ft zip & link beds (can be twin by prior arr). Twin bedroom. Bathroom, separate shower cubicle, toilet. Shower room and toilet.
