IMED Birmingham
Description
Welcome to the official page for IMed Birmingham! Founded by a group of enthusiastic medical students over five years ago, some would say IMED is still undergoing embryological development! However, with the amazing support from our valued members and volunteers, IMED has definitely embraced human life, and we intend, by the grace of God, to continue growing from strength to strength. With events ranging from charity dinners to revision seminars, brothers and sisters soicals to medical ethics conferences, we aim to provide our students with a well rounded university experience - nourishing them both spiritually and intellectually.
If you would like any further information about our society please do not hesitate to contact a member of the committee iA. We look forward to hearing from you!

**Calling all freshers** We are currently running the opportunity for you to receive a mentor if you're a medic, dentist, pharmacist, biomed or nurse. To sign up, head here for this short form: https://goo.gl/forms/r0PzX7VhWPMWGy1z2 They have been in your shoes not long ago. Their role is to meet up with you regularly (over coffee, dinner etc.) and ensure you're doing alright; be it academically (you don't understand something or how should you approach something) or personally (you're struggling to make friends, or living away from home is really difficult). It is not compulsory to meet up and there is no commitment as such; but we hope you'll find having a mentor beneficial insha'Allah!
**Attention final years** Assalam Walaikum As you all know, IMED holds a charity dinner every year and as part of this event, we produce a "funny" video for the entertainment of all those who are attending the event. This year we are also thinking of making a video to commemorate the journey of the current 5th years (or anyone that started in 2013) through medschool and also IMED. This will be a montage video with pictures of us through year 1 to 5 and will also have small snippets of videos as well. So if you'd like to be a part of this video, please send pictures and videos of you and your friendship groups that you feel are relevant to the video to this page's inbox and we will edit those photos/videos into the video. Thanks a lot for your cooperation, and In Sha Allah this video will turn out to be great, so the older years can have a nice trip down memory lane at their last IMED dinner as students!
**Calling all 1st year dentists** This is a session you definitely don't want to miss out on! Fellow students in the years above will be sharing their tips & tricks on how they survived their first year at dental school. Did I mentioned that's there's FREE PIZZA!!!?!!? 🍕😋🙌🏼
