Vauxhall Angling Club
Description
For those who are in the club or want to share Information or just want to find out more. The Vauxhall Angling Club is based in Bedfordshire and is operated as a traditional members Club, run by anglers for anglers. We offer a great deal of fishing for a very modest price! This year our adult price is just £55 for the forthcoming season, with around 9 miles of river and over 100 acres of lakes to fish, this really is very good value. We have also dropped the price of our junior membership this year to just £15 to try and encourage all adult anglers to bring any of their young relatives along to enjoy the sport of fishing. I hope that you take advantage of this!

Well done to Luke Oswin who on his first trip to Sharnbrook caught a 22lbs 6oz common carp, two tench over 8lbs (biggest 8lbs 8ozs) and another of 5lbs.....

Latest News... Caught this evening by Tom Russell a cracking chub of 6lb 6ozs from the river at Kempston, what a great way to start the river season! Excellent angling Tom.

Congratulations to Paul Everett on the capture of this lovely 26lb 4oz mirror carp from Sharnbrook........ caught today!
Last Sunday the Club hosted a Charity Match on the Manor Lake at Tingrith in aid of the MS Therapy Centre in Bedford, a great organisation who are dependent upon donations to help MS sufferers with their ongoing problems. Many thanks to the 28 anglers who fished on the day raising over £360 for the Charity. Thanks must go to Mrs Shanley and Mr David Shanley for allowing the use of the lake. Also to Club Chairman Dave Maple, Tony Kay and Tex Marshall for the organisation in getting this together. Shaden Tackle in Luton are also donating their commission from club book sales to the Charity, a great gesture.Tony won on the day with over 50lbs, closely followed by son George with 48lbs! Below is Club Chairman Dave Maple presenting the cheque to Centre Manager Tracy and Centre Fundraiser Swarupa.
All book applications received by 3.00pm will be posted first class today. Obviously, it's then up to the Royal Mail! Applications received after 3.00 pm will be posted on Monday............
Just to let everyone know that the new shop, Arcade Angling, in Loyes Street (the centre of Bedford) is open for business as usual and they do stock our membership books!

Ian Jones popped back to Sharnbrook and caught these two nice fish, a 7lb 14oz tench and a 16lb 8oz carp, very well done Ian!
