Is January getting you down already? Why not wave the resolutions to one side and join us for our Burns Night whisky tasting event. Dave Worthington from Bedford Whisky club, will take you on a guided tour of the 6 Whisky regions of Scotland. You'll sample some fine whiskies along the way, and feast on Haggis, neeps an' tatties. Christmas has officially left the building, and we're working on our new events diary, to brighten up these dark winter days. We have open mic nights, live music, burns night whisky tasting and Valentines wine tasting to look forward to. More details to follow. In the meantime we have our monthly quiz night. This Monday, 9th January, 8pm start. Max teams of 6, £2 per person. Come and give the little grey cells a post Christmas workout!

Thanks to everyone who came along to support the Christmas carols yesterday, and thanks so much to the band for giving up their free time, they were absolutely fabulous!! The carols were in aid of Keech hospice care, and children with cancer. We managed to raise (drumroll please) a massive £581!! A fantastic amount raised from an equally fantastic community, and a thoroughly Christmassy afternoon too. Merry Christmas! 🎄

Christmas is drawing ever closer, and this Sunday we have a very festive event planned. Christmas carols in the pub, with a brass band! The aim is to start singing carols at 4pm. We are raising money for Keech hospice care and Children with cancer. £5 will buy you a mulled wine, mince pie and song sheet. All of this £5 goes to these charities. So please come along, sing loud, dig deep and lets get Christmas off to a rousing start! 🎄🎄

The Little Owl's Nest

Diana Fleet from 'The little owls nest' will be at our 'crafty afternoon at the Devvy' on the 11th December between 12-4, with more gorgeous little outfits like this. She'll be sharing our marquee with Belinda Lane photography and Monkswood design, pop along if you can and support some fantastic local businesses. We'll get the mulled wine on.. 🎄🍷😊

A huge thank you to all those who supported our Children in need quiz last night. A fun evening was had and we raised £150 for children in need. A big well done to the winning team 'Children in-deed'. Cheers. :)

On Sunday 11th December, 12-4 we'll be hosting 'A Crafty afternoon at the Devvy'. It's a great opportunity to find some different gifts for Christmas. We have 3 stalls.. Belinda Lane will have some of her fabulous photography on display, with cards and pictures to purchase. We have Diana Fleet from 'The little Owls nest' here with some great quality and fun clothing for children, and last but by no means least we have our very own Mat here! Monkswood Design have lots of beautiful quirky gifts for the home. Please join us in supporting some wonderful local businesses, and to get you in the Christmassy mood we'll have the mulled wine-a warming, and the carols a-playing... Perfect.

Join us this Thursday (17th) for Children in Need charity quiz. With the empasis on fun (please don't expect anything too intellectual ;) ) Brush up on your knowledge of Terry Wogan and childrens T.V themes amongst other things. It all starts at 8pm, maximum teams of 6, £2 per person, all of which goes to Children in Need. Hope to see you there.
