I am Jane Fegan, I have my BHSII and also ABRS Grooms Diploma. Having competed in many disciplines I offer tuition in all aspects of riding and training. We at Biccarton pride ourselves in providing a professional yet welcoming, friendly yard for our clients to come to.
We cater for all ages from complete beginner wanting to learn as a once a week rider, to those training for examinations within the Industry, either ABRS or BHS exams. For some it is towards a career opportunity and for the weekly rider it could be having a goal to work towards or in order that they increase their knowledge whilst looking to own their horse in the future.
The yard has 13 boxes at the moment for my team of well schooled happy horses and ponies who thrive on the attention and work routine which they receive therefore making them a pleasure to ride and teach with.
They are well mannered and relaxed due to the fact that they are looked after in a good routine which is important for any horse and they have a good balance of varied work and relaxation to ensure this.
We do 1/2hr, 3/4hr and 1hr private and semi private lessons for flat, jump, lunge lessons and side saddle. Lunge and side saddle lessons are 1/2 hr.
We also are starting to introduce small group lessons when our riders have a basic knowledge of riding in order that everyone is of a similar level.
We do 3 day camps for children, teens and adult where everyone gets the chance to expand their knowledge or have their first sit on and learn a bit about or again expand on what they already know learning more about what is involved in the care of horses as well as the riding, with quizzes and games included to test the knowledge.
We also prepare our weekly riders for ABRS certificates in Riding and Stable Management which gives them something to work towards.

1/2 hour Private lesson under 14 : £22
over 14 : £25
3/4 hour Private lesson : £30
1 hour Private lesson : £34
Shared 1/2 hour Private : £22
3/4 hour Private : £28
1 hour Private : £30
Group lesson 1/2 Hour under 14 : £14

Another years show over. Yet again a brilliant day. Well done to all who competed. Everyone made us very proud. Hope you all enjoyed it. Mega thank you to all who supported us and to those who did such a fantastic job of helping to prepare for the day( there were a lot of preparations) and also for their hard work today helping to make our day such a success. Thank you, Jo, Gillian, June, Amber, and our Team Biccarton helpers for all the preparation help, and My Dad Mr Comrie, lovely to see you back on home ground, Pam, Emma, Nikki, Robyn and Elisesha for the judging today and Amber and June and our other helpers again for keeping the horses stables looked after so well today. This show would not be possible without the fantastic people who support our yard and also not forgetting the fantastic horses and ponies we have to teach you all on. We hope that everyone had a great day and that those who saw our drill ride enjoyed the bit of fun,,,, we had a ball doing it. Now the planning for what we do next year. Pictures will follow. Maybe we will look at having another wee jumping competition in the October week. 😀😀🐴🐴

great week of adult camp, well done ladies, proud of every one of you. There was a request to do 2 weeks of camp a year so if this would appeal to you all we will definitely look into it. Xxx
Last week of holidays and Adult Camp. Great day with riding and Home work handed out for talks and dressage test learning. Very well done today all. Not too much vino tonight ladies, get a good nights sleep. Xxx
