Huge congratulations to Dillon for achieving a merit in his Grade 3 acoustic guitar exam. Brilliant result and well deserved!

It's been a great term of lessons so far and things are starting to get busy organising performance opportunities and planning for grade exams in 2018 for many of my pupils. We've already started learning some Christmas music in a few of the lessons, which has been lots of fun! Good luck to Dillon in his Grade 3 acoustic guitar exam tomorrow!

Really looking forward to another year of fun teaching guitar and ukulele lessons in 8 schools and to my private pupils. I hope everyone has had a great summer and is ready to make some more music!

The remaining guitar and ukulele exam results of this term have arrived and I'm so impressed with my pupils. In total over 70 of my students took exams this summer and everyone passed, with lots achieving merits and distinctions as well. Well done to everyone for all of the practise that went in, for stepping out of your comfort zone and giving the exam a go and for being rewarded for your hard work and great playing!

It was a great concert this morning from the pupils at Binsted CE Primary School, with covers of songs by artists including Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, AC/DC and of course a few by Ed Sheeran! Well done to all of the brilliant performers!

Well done to all of my pupils that have taken RGT exams in the past month, the majority of which were over the last few days. It's great to show what you've been learning and have something to work towards, but not easy performing in front of other people! I'm impressed with everyone that has taken their grade exams and will look forward to receiving the results. One more guitar concert to look forward to this academic year - the pupils from Binsted Primary School will be showing off their great playing in assembly tomorrow!

​I'm so proud of the amazing musicians at Highfield South Farnham for putting on a brilliant concert yesterday. The children performed on their guitars and ukuleles (as well as including a bit of piano and singing!) and enjoyed showing the rest of the school what they had been learning. We had performances of rock, pop and folk songs as well an amazing song one of my pupils had composed using her ukulele. Many of yesterday's performers are in year 6 and moving on to secondary school in September - good luck and keep making great music!

More great news arrived in the post this weekend with Esme achieving a distinction in her Grade 1 exam - well done Esme!

The first grade exam results of the summer have arrived and it's a huge well done to Jacob, Juliette and Emily for all passing their acoustic guitar exams (ranging from Grade 1 to 6), all achieving merits and distinctions. Brilliant news!

Well done to the brilliant guitarists at Bramley CE Primary School for their amazing performances in the concert at school today!

A huge well done to everyone that performed at the guitar and ukulele showcase today. It was such a good afternoon with a great variety of performances - you should all be really proud of yourselves!

It's almost time for the next guitar and ukulele showcase for my pupils on Sunday 11th June at The Tea Bar in Basingstoke. Performances are starting at 4:30pm and we'll have solos and duets with electric, acoustic and classical guitar, ukulele and a bit of singing too. Looking forward to seeing all of the performers - they've been sounding great in the lessons!
