With only a couple of days left to go before our first event of 2018 we can now confirm the final match set for Knockout Wrestling: Awakening live from Cloud Nine and The Lounge this Saturday night as four competitors battle it out to determine a new #1 contender for the Showcase Championship! Marc Morrellis finally ended a lengthy losing streak at the Fifth Anniversary Show by making Lucas Neon say "I quit," earning the self-professed "Greatest" Neon's KOW contract, forcing Lucas to align himself with Morrellis and Tu Byt despite months of fighting against them! Morrellis is the only wrestler in this match to have previous championship experience in KOW and with Lucas Neon as his unwilling accomplice, Marc could well be beginning his journey to the gold at Awakening! C.I. Clyne made his KOW debut at the tail end of 2017 and has yet to pick up his first victory in Knockout Wrestling but has already shown that he has the determination and ability to become a top competitor in a barrovian ring in 2018! Clyne will need eyes in the back of his head to avoid elimination and survive the Four Way Eliminator on March 10th, but if he can pull it off, he will instantly catapult himself up the KOW ladder with a shot at the Showcase Trophy! The masked and enigmatic E-Bomb first appeared in a KOW ring after answering the open challenge of Marc Morrellis, wowing fans with his high-flying ability, which he used to pull off a shock victory against his more established opponent in his first match for the company, a feat that he will look to repeat at Awakening! E-Bomb's mysterious nature may make him the dark horse in this match but despite his small stature, he has already proven that he has the ability to upset the odds and pull out a surprise victory and with the madness of a match with four competitors raging all around him, he could end up leaving with a shot at title glory on March 10th! With four men battling for survival with a Showcase Championship Match hanging in the balance, chaos promises to reign in a KOW ring at Awakening, who will come out on top? Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, completely outside of the control of Fab Talk Wrestling KOW General Manager A.L.P will be unable to appear on tonight's show alongside host Stephen Armstrong. A couple of weeks ago the team of Sheriff Steele and King Ryan Grayson threw out an open challenge to anyone willing to step up and face them at Knockout Wrestling: Awakening on March 10th and that challenge has now been answered as Andre Dekker and David Birch make their KOW debuts to take on Royal Justice in tag team action! Royal Justice came together under shocking circumstances back at the start of 2017, but despite the pairing seemingly being destined for disaster, the two gelled better than anyone could have ever anticipated, going unbeaten in tag team competition in 2017 and becoming the most successful and beloved tag team in KOW history! Grayson and Steele would end the year by competing in the singles division, ultimately cementing their bond once and for all as Grayson helped Steele capture the Vertigo Briefcase, guaranteeing him a KOW Heavyweight Championship any time in the next year! Despite this singles success, the two were eager to get back to tag team action as we entered 2018 and threw out an open challenge to absolutely anyone so that they could continue to prove their dominance in tag team wrestling in a KOW ring! Another intriguing detail to take into account is that Sheriff Steele has been rather cryptically promising some sort of "surprise" for Grayson on social media over the past few weeks alluding to some sort of token to show KOW's resident King that he is still loyal to their pairing! What does the Sheriff have in store for Grayson and the KOW fans on March 10th? Andre Dekker and David Birch will enter Cloud Nine and The Lounge on March 10th looking to use Royal Justices open challenge as an opportunity to earn themselves regular spots on the KOW roster. Dekker has experience in tag team competition, holding the Alpha Omega Wrestling UK Tag Team Championship back in 2017 although his time with the gold was rife with infighting that ultimately led to him losing the title. Dekker is certainly an intense young man, but he will have to control his anger if he wants his newfound pairing with David Birch to be a success. Birch has been carving out a place for himself in the north west wrestling scene over the last couple of years, primarily competing for Preston City Wrestling whilst also wrestling for several other local companies and comes into Awakening on March 10th as a highly recommended prospect, already turning many heads in his relatively short time between the ropes. Birch jumped at the opportunity to make his Knockout Wrestling debut alongside Dekker and as an unknown element to both Steele and Grayson, he could very well make the difference in this match! Will the established pairing of Royal Justice be able to use their experience to continue their unbeaten run as a tag team, or will another unlikely tag team be Steele and Graysons own personal Kryptonite? With less than a fortnight left before Knockout Wrestling: Awakening live from Cloud Nine and The Lounge we can now confirm the main event scheduled for March 10th as newly crowned KOW Heavyweight Champion Nightmare defends against "Smashmouth" Chris Ridgeway, "War Machine" Craig Kollins and Rick Markus in a Fatal 4 Way Match! At the Fifth Anniversary Show the "Masked Sensation" Nightmare completed an arduous three year journey that finally saw him reclaim the top prize in KOW after countless roadblocks being put in his way. It was a true fairytale ending for the man from "Your Darkest Dreams" as confetti rained from the sky, the KOW fans exploded with joy and the locker room emptied to celebrate with the new Champion. Nightmare is now the first ever two time KOW Heavyweight Champion in our companies history, a well deserved accolade, but now, the honeymoon period is well and truly over! If Nightmare thought things would be easier once he reclaimed the gold, he could not have been more wrong as his sworn enemy, KOW General Manager A.L.P has made his first title defense as difficult as possible in a match where the "Masked Sensation" does not have to be pinned, submitted or knocked out to lose the gold! Nightmares three opponents on March 10th are all former KOW Heavyweight Champions and any one of them could potentially walk away with the title at Awakening. "Smashmouth" Chris Ridgeway is the longest reigning Heavyweight Champion in our companies history as well as being the winner of the first ever Road to Gold Tournament. "War Machine" Craig Kollins was one of the most popular Heavyweight Champions in our five year history, was the winner of the Road to Gold II Tournament and was responsible for bringing an end to the TRIAD. Rick Markus is a former Showcase Champion and a former Heavyweight Champion, becoming the first ever dual Champion in KOW and has held championship gold at every single event since his debut, with Awakening being his first event without a title.
