Sunday morning break in the garden with coffee and peace, following a week and a half of graduations in University of Ulster. Prepping the body and soul for the coming week in York. Here we go again!!

Well that’s another season with the man in the big red suit finished. We’ve met some lovely people. Laughed a lot. Cried a little. Been jealous of a few Christmas outfits. Wouldn’t have changed a second if it. Time now for a well earned break. Have a lovely Christmas all and see you in the new year!!

A massive congrats to Holly and Josh last Friday. Braving the elements and the storm predictions we were lucky enough to get some sunshine and limited wind to allow them to return to some favourite spots on Lusty Beg.

What a summer, Weddings, sessions, the odd break or 2. he highs and Lows of life through it all. Time to get back to the grindstone and on with the new school year!!

Just a big thank you to everyone who nominated me for the Ballyclare Business Awards. Tonight is the big night but typically I am working. So in my stead Louise is all glammed up and on her way to the ball. Good luck to all nominees tonight. Have a great evening.

So here's the thing. This week has been a bit up and down in our house, and through no fault of their own I now have a lad who is more self conscious than he ought or needs to be. I know what I can see in him and am painfully aware he cannot see what I do. And sadly he is not the only one. I know there are plenty more out there. I am thinking of putting together a project to help young people see for themselves what others see in them. I am looking for about 10 participants. If you would like to nominate someone who is a bit lacking in self confidence, believes they aren't cool, beautiful, worthy or anything else, please email me at colin@colinmetcalfephotography.co.uk with a brief summary of who they are and why you would nominate them. My plan is that everyone would get some studio time to explore their own inner potential and they will receive the images from this and a couple of prints. From this I would compose a panel of images with their permission to put forward for a qualification judging session. Please note this is just for individuals, not families and the main purpose here is to allow some young, or not so young people to gain some more confidence in themselves.
