In those early days, the business centred on steam launches and rowing boats. Today, under the expert management of John Sweeney – the fourth generation of the Sweeney family to work on Loch Lomond – wife Catherine and their sons, Sweeney’s Cruises is proud to operate the most luxurious fleet of passenger boats in Scotland.

Our 2 hour 'Island Discovery Cruise' sets sail as of Saturday March 31st! This 2 hour round trip departs from Balloch & gives you the opportunity to pass by 'The Narrows' an area only visible by boat & proceed to sail to the picturesque village of Luss before returning to Balloch. Cruises depart at 12:30pm & 3pm (weekends only in April & Oct) tickets are available to purchase online at www.sweeneyscruiseco.com or from our friendly staff at our kiosk on the day!
The P1's & P2's from Gavinburn Primary had a fantastic time on board with us this week! They are currently reading the classic book 'Katie Morag' & are learning all about Islands, their cruise took them past Inchmurrin Island & showed them what beautiful scenery Loch Lomond has to offer! We had some excited children & their teachers from Levenvale Primary School join us on Wednesday morning for a cruise on Loch Lomond! The kids all took part in the 'Lomond in the classroom' project which educates them about a rare native fish called 'the Powan' which calls Loch Lomond it's home! Everyone had a fantastic time on board our Silver Marlin #sweeneyscruises
