Some of Grade ones were more than happy to practise their exam dance in the snow, as they have to mine a snowy day's snow ball fight. ❄️☃️❄️

What a busy exam day we have had here at a rather snowy Dance Central. Never before have the RAD HQ in London had a teacher phone up to ask what the protocol is when students and the examiner get snowed in at the studio as all the roads into and out of the village were shut due to poor conditions. I would like to say a huge well done to everyone today the dancers for dancing so wonderfully, the parents for being so well organised and to Celine Bourgeois Woodrow for all her help.

Here is a example of how to do our pleated corwn exam hair for students from Pre-Primary to Grade 2. Please make sure crown sits on top of the head (so high bunches are needed) then my top tip is to have the bunches closer to each other in the middle for students with shorter hair and further apart for longer hair. LOTS of moose and hairpsray are needed to stop any fly away ends. Good luck.

With our exam day at Dance Central Balfron fast approaching i wanted to share this lovely video about our Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. Our exams are unque to other dance qualifications as they are accredited by the SQA and allow students to gain UCAS points for continuing their accademic studies at university and collage. I would like to say a huge congratulations to Kiri, Mikella and Daisy who will be joining Amalie at Scottish Ballet's prestigous Junior Associates Programme. To Kirsty who has succesfully adutioned for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's, Junior Conservatoire Ballet and Contemporary programmes and to Katie who recieved one of the few places at the Dance School of Scotland. Dance Central classes are now on holiday and classes will resume Monday 21st August. I would like to wish you all a lovely summer and i look forward to seeing you all in august.

With only two weeks left to go before the summer break our dancers are still working incredibly hard. Tonight our Grade 2s were learning about tilts for the first time while our Primaries and Grade 4s were working hard on elevation. Please note summer newsletters should be handed out this week.
