Hartshead Estate Homewatch
Description
The official page for the Hartshead Estate Homewatch group where we will keep you updated with the latest information and updates. Hartshead Estate Homewatch was founded back in 2012 when residents started to get fed up of the levels of crime and anti-social behavior on the estate. The top section of the estate organised a meeting with local Councillors and police officers to form a Homewatch organisation and when it had been worked out how Hartshead Estate Homewatch was going to run the middle and bottom sections of the estate were invited to join. We now have over 800 members across the estate who receive regular updates from Tameside Homwatch, Greater Manchester Police and Hartshead Estate Homewatch.
We produce a quarterly newsletter summarizing all the activities that have taken part on the estate as well as having opportunities to win prizes, crime statistics from the local police and a 'meet your committee' section.

AGM 2016 underway
Waterhouse Pub - UPDATE We have requested advice from Cllr Mike Glover regarding the application to extend the opening hours of the Waterhouse Pub. We understand a Petition is being circulated but in addition residents living close to the pub are advised to write individually. Individual 'Representations' carry more weight than a petition. Any Representation should be based on at least one of four criteria: • Crime and Disorder • Public Safety • Public Nuisance • Safety of children Representations to the Licensing Office can be in writing to: Licensing Office Tameside MBC Tame Street Depot Tame Street Stalybridge Cheshire SK15 1ST By email: licensing@tameside.gov.uk Representations need to be in by the 3rd November 2016. Then there is a further 28 days for Licensing to consider the Representations and possibly negotiate an agreeable compromise. Hartshead Estate Homewatch
Waterhouse Pub. Information for Residents. Residents of Hartshead Estate should be aware that the Waterhouse Pub has applied for a variation to it's licence so that it can open until 2.00am over the weekends and holidays. It also includes live and recorded music etc. Closing date for comments is the 3rd November. Residents who object to this application should contact the Tameside Council to express their concern. The application for a late licence in a residential area will undoubtedly cause concern to residents living near to the pub. We understand that details of the application has not at this stage been circulated to home owners. You may wish to approach your local Councillors to obtain more details. Hartshead Estate Homewatch.
