I studied graphic design at Norwich School of Art, UK. A y.ear after graduating in 1984 I became a self employed visual artist & furniture maker. This page shows a selection of my original paintings produced during the last ten years or so.

I have always felt a need to express myself visually, having started to draw obsessively as soon as I was able hold a pencil or paintbrush as a young child
.
I paint images of the wonderful Peak District landscape in the UK, working on site when possible to replicate its true colours and contours, but above all to try and capture the unique beauty of this area that is relatively unknown to the rest of the country.

I also paint images composed of reflections in glass windows, a multiplicity of perspectives and tones that are semi abstract in nature. The latter are transposed from my own original photographic images.

I like to use all media for their differing qualities, watercolour being the most popular. I am happy to complete commissions, all things considered, depending upon quality of photographic subject matter.

My work as been collected mainly by private customers all over the world. My watercolour painting titled 'Bradbourne Mill' was purchased by Derbyshire County Council in 1983 having won a prize in the Derbyshire Open the same year. In 2005 I won 1st prize in the spring open exhibition at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists for a reflection watercolour titled 'The German Pavilion, Barcelona'.
