Great day for Dumfries and Stewartry young bowlers winning 2 of the 3 National Titles, the Pairs and Triples. Against some of the best young talent in Scotland the lads were magnificent. The pairs team was Jamie Harkness and Daniel Pool from Annan B C . The triples team was Robert Carruthers and Jack Harkness from Annan and Alan McDonald from Kirkcudbright. It was drama all day with the triples winning after an extra end and the pairs winning with the last bowl from Daniel. Big thanks to our singles player young Joe McMillan who substituted for the unfit Keagan McMinn. Joe won 2 of his ties and we were very proud of him. Would like to wish Keagan a speedy recovery after his operation. Finally a word on Team Manager Brian Robertson who organised our local play offs and motivated this squad, that's 3 National titles in 2 Seasons after 28 years of winning nothing. Well done Boss. Thanks also to Mae Donaldson and Andrew Snape for their valuable assistance. Andrew will put details of today's results on our website.
