Some of the pre-school children in the galaxy room enjoyed a trip on the bus to Dundee to visit the McManus museum last week. Where they explored the different areas and all of the art work.

Our next visit to burnside court was yesterday afternoon for some of the children in the galaxy room. They enjoyed taking part in Easter arts and crafts, decorating their boiled eggs and an egg hunt outside with the elderly ladies. 🐤🌷

Yesterday the children from the sunshine room enjoyed a walk along the burn side, they enjoyed looking in the burn to see what they could find and exploring the spring flowers, telling the ladies they were "purple", "white" and "pretty". They have also been learning how to walk safely alongside peers when on outings from the nursery.

The children in the galaxy room enjoyed our most recent visit to burnside court this afternoon to participate in art and craft activities. They are learning to listen carefully and socialise with the older generation. They are also learning about the differences between generations and about the world around me through stories and conversations that the older generation may tell them. This is helping them to become more confident in themselves through the praise, that they receive from the older generation; this helps them to develop positive self reassurance.

All the children in the sunshine and galaxy room enjoyed a trip to the park yesterday morning. They were developing their gross motor skills through climbing the hills in the park and using the park equipment. They were also learning to keep themselves safe by practising coming back to the whistle.

Both the children and staff enjoyed taking part in a belated world book day due to the 'beast from the east' stopping us from doing it on the 1st of March.

**helping hands needed** We are looking for any empty baby wipe packets with the plastic lids that clip shut, like the photo attached, they can be any size, shape or colour. If possible hand these into the nursery or give us a message and we will see if we can collect. Thanks just4kids

Fun in the snow today! 🌨☃️ The children have enjoyed building their own snowman, making snow angels, snow ball fighting and using the icicles hanging from the nursery as a "Jack Frost wand". The children said: " The Jack Frost wand made ice and ice skaters out of ice and make everyone ice skate and made all the hills icy so that people could fall. It was funny"

The children enjoyed making their own homemade pancakes for pancake day yesterday. They enjoyed them with butter or honey and fruit 🍎🍌They also made their own Mardi Gras masks to help celebrate this festival 🎭.
