With great sadness I have to announce that yesterday Paul Thomas passed away. A good friend for many years Paul was a boxing stalwart refereeing all over the world. He will be missed by many. RIP Paul. God bless. Mike Shinfield.

The new year will start with a bang on Feb 2nd at Ponds Forge in Sheffield when Bobby jenkinson challenges for the British bantamweight championship against champion Josh Wale. This promises to be a genuine 50/50 contest not to be missed. Ticket details to follow.

Another great night for the gym in Nottingham, Joe Ducker winning the British challenge belt title with a hard fought 7th round stoppage over Leo Derlanger and on the same show Conar Blackshaw retained his title with a shutout points win over Gary Reeve.

Shane De Hayes made a good start to his pro career with a very impressive performance against a tough Andrej Cepur at Nottingham. On the same show Conan Blackshaw took another step forward with a clear points win. He now joins Joe Ducker on the Nottingham show on November 25th when Joe boxes for the British challenge belt. Tickets are available now so be there for a great time.

Tremendously bad news for the gym today. The show to have been in Walsall today had to be cancelled at the last minute following crowd trouble at the same venue on Saturday night resulting in a fatality. No details of a new date are available at the moment. Joe Ducker was in tremendous shape for his contest and will be able to let all his supporters who had tickets for the show know what the situation is as soon as possible. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family of the deceased.

Busy October coming up for the gym Starting on the 7th Elvis Dube hits the road again travelling to Manchester. Then on 13th new boy Jamie Manning makes his profile debut in Derby. The 15th sees Joe Ducker at Walsall for the first fight of a competition in which the winner will be crowned Midlands area champion. Bobby Jenkinson is back in action at Cleethorpes on 20th and the following night, 21st Conar Blackshaw takes his next step to a title at Nottingham with professional debut for Shane De Hayes on the same show.
