The lovely market town of Skipton gets a rough deal when it comes to Ordnance Survey maps as it's always chopped in half right at either the bottom right or top left. This rare Bartholomew's map, 1981, however places it right in the middle. Hurrah. Available now in @noras gift shop, Ilkley. 30cm diameter, £52.
Blackbird Vintage
All replenished in Blackbird. Hessian continues to be a popular choice in North Leeds. I love restocking and visiting this shop and always seem to leave with a little something or adding something to the wish list. This time I purchased a cushion designed by the talented Sid and Co and also added a brass bird to the wish list. Shop independent.

Here is a sneak preview of a collaboration between Twenty Watt and Barbara Harper of Yorkshiretodyefor. The patterns that the indigo hand dyeing process has created are stunning and each piece of fabric is unique. Thank you Barbara. Available for sale next week via this page or find all the shades in Fabrication come Monday.

It's amazing how productive you can be when there is a whole house waiting to be packed.... Made from original coffee sacks and finished with black cotton trim, they look great when illuminated. Available in Fabrication tomorrow or through this page. Now, back to packing.

Today's delivery was a couple of large conical shades recovered with Designers Guild fabric and trim. Here is a couple of before and after photos. I love the proportions of the shade and the fabric was a pleasure to work with.

Had quite a few map commisions recently to be given as wedding gifts. (Great idea.) This one is my favourite. Made for a couple who live in Putney, using a 1950s map. I love the font and vibrant colours.

Just finished wrapping this commission to be delivered to @blackbirdvintage tomorrow. It uses a fabric similar to barkcloth which has come from Fiji, has then been lined with orange cotton and finished with a brown trim. Has definitely brightened up a rather dull and wet Wednesday.
