Introduction to Acro Yoga with Sascha & Mélanie

Acro Yoga combines the Wisdom of Yoga, the Fun from Acrobatics and the Healing Qualities of Thai Massage to create a surprisingly Holistic Practice. Join Mélanie & Sascha to discover the Basics of AcroYoga in a playful way. Starting on your own mat with an acrobatic-inspired yoga flow you'll learn how to integrate strength building techniques to cultivate lightness. From there you'll explore partner dynamics - developing sensitivity and awareness for your partner through counter balances and partner yoga poses. With this foundation you'll be prepared for take-off: you'll fly! In the trio of base, flyer and spotter you'll discover basic partner flying techniques in a safe environment. In the cool down we'll combine partner yoga with some Thai-Massage inspired sequences to sugarcoat the day, hopefully leaving you in a state of sweet inspiration. Healthy Hips - 3 hours hip intensive with Maria

---- A 3 hours Hip Intensive with Maria ---- In this 3 hours workshop we will work to isolate, open, and strengthen the muscles supporting the hips, along with finding pelvic movement to help connect us to our lower body. We will create body awareness through breath and strength focused exercises. From there we will flow into more dynamic sequences exploring various techniques to open the hips and learn how to practice progressively deeper and more challenging poses. A great opportunity to work through the common hip opening poses some more dynamic as well as passive longer held ones! We will end with restorative and myofascial release of the muscles around the hips. Maria Pountou is known for her strong, creative and educational vinyasa flow classes. She is guiding her students to a rigorous yet refined practice focusing on anatomical cues that help educate and inspire them to build mind and body awareness for a better well-being. This class is ideal for any level of practice and we encourage anyone with “tight hips” to attend. Much like a lotus flower, the hips cannot be forced to crack open. But given enough time and a patient approach, the hips will release like a bloom! Aerial Yoga Open Classes (FREE Introductory classes)

Have you ever heard of Aerial Yoga? What is it? Can anyone do it? How does it benefit me? Come to one of our FREE Introductory class with Rachelle! WHAT IS IT? It is yoga done with a hammock. The hammock is a prop, like a belt or a block, it helps support us as we increase our balance, deepen our stretches, and become stronger. CAN ANYONE DO IT? Yes, anyone can do it, maybe not every posture but that is also true of yoga on the mat. An introductory class is just like an introduction to yoga, everyone can benefit and learn. HOW DOES IT BENEFIT ME? The hammock has MANY benefits: 1) Inversions that lengthen and invigorate your core with no possibility of hurting your neck or back. 2) Ability to adjust for weak/injured/sensitive wrists or shoulders! 3) Support during stretches that allow your muscles to relax into the stretch more. 4) FUN!
