A True Story Based on A Lie
ALL YOU LOVE IS NEED. Dear Friends, We are happy to announce our inaugural solo-exhibition A TRUE STORY BASED ON A LIE at IOTU Projects featuring Okan Yildirim. The opening will take place on Friday March 18th 2016 from 6 - 9 pm. Furthermore we are pleased to announce the catalogue release of Okan Yildirim´s ALL YOU LOVE IS NEED In conjunction with the exhibition. Okan Yildirim (TR/DK) born in Copenhagen 1983 is a graduate from the renowned Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Städelschule from the 2014 class of Tobias Rehberger. Straight after obtaining his diploma in the field of Skullture and at the high price trade with being disonnected with life refusing to give up the very freedom at the heart of his work amidst aspiring exhibitionists of commodities in the villagelike setting of Frankfurt am Main, he decided to move to Berlin. In pursuit of chasing a decadent clubbing lifestyle which he completed the following year 2015, he would meet the love of his life. Selected exhibitions: Future Suburban Contemporary 2015 Copenhagen (DK), Museum für Moderne Kunst MMK, Frankfurt am Main (DE) 2014, Video Muse, San Fransisco (US) 2013, Arken Museum for Moderne Kunst 2012 (DK) Solo-presentation: Frankfurt am Main, Berlin (DE) 2015. OY works between Berlin DE and Copenhagen DK.
