Today's 'meet the cast' is KATE MCKEOWN, who is playing THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST amongst other roles in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, opening on Saturday 25th November! Originally from Dublin, Kate has just graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with an MA in Musical Theatre and was awarded the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Scholarship 2016. Whilst there she appeared in Sweeney Todd- The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - “Pirelli”, Larger than Life- “Adele”, Christmas on Broadway - “Soloist” and A Tribute to Dame Shirley Bassey - “Soloist”. Kate was a finalist in the Welsh Musical Theatre Young Singer of the Year and featured in various Cabaret nights in Cardiff. At the same time as achieving her undergraduate degree in Business and Management in Ireland, Kate successfully completed her singing grades with the ABRSM, all with distinction. Theatre credits include “Ado Annie”- Oklahoma, “Hope”- Anything Goes, “Audrey”- Little Shop of Horrors, “Wishee Washee” – Aladdin, “Calamity Jane”- Calamity Jane and “Dinah”- South Pacific.

Day 2 of meet the cast... ALEX MORGAN plays BOB CRATCHIT in A Christmas Carol from 25th November at Simply Theatre Studios, Versoix. Alex trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and works as an actor and dialect coach. Theatre credits include: Ensemble Company in The Shakespeare Revue (Theatr Clwyd Cymru, and UK tour); Bar in The Three Little Pigs (UK tour); Sebastian in The Tempest and Dickens in The Actors’ Market (both Waterloo East Theatre); Iokanaan in Salomé (Edinburgh Festival); Raif in Z-Bed (The Landor); Big Bad Wolf in Red Riding Hood (JAM Theatre); Junior Counsel in Laughed Out of Court (Royal Courts of Justice). Many revues including Love etc, An Actor’s Life for Me and Opera à la Carte with Vocalarity (Canal Café Theatre, St James Studio) and the Shakespeare Revue Company (cruise ship Minerva). Radio: Edmund in The Diary of Edmund Warner Esquire. Screen credits include: Brad in the band MIAMIGO’s single Forever; Adam in Hollyoaks (Channel 4); Psychoville (BBC2). Credits as dialect coach include: Spanish accent for xxx (Radio4); Italian language and accent in Much Ado About Nothing (Wadham College Gardens, Oxford); Argentinian Spanish, French, German, and Turkish for the new Stiles & Drewe musical Travels with My Aunt (Chichester); the play Travels with My Aunt (Chocolate Factory); Portuguese language and accent for and Nell Gwynn (Shakespeare's Globe, Apollo Theatre, and UK tour - Olivier Award Best New Comedy).

Meet our Christmas Carol Cast! All this week, in preparation for our opening performance this Saturday 25th November, we will be introducing you to our cast. First up is DUDLEY ROGERS, who is playing SCROOGE. Dudley trained at the Guildhall School where he won the Characterisation Prize, and since then has had a varied and happy career in all branches of show business. In the West End, he has appeared in the original productions of Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Blood Brothers and Oliver! (Fagin). His repertory work includes seasons at Chester, Colchester, Crewe and Milford Haven playing a wide range of parts including Canon Throbbing in Habeus Corpus and Eric Younglove in Privates on Parade. He played Dr Wheadon in the national tour of Beyond Reasonable Doubt as well as Mr Allworthy in the tour of Tom Jones. Dudley is no stranger to Panto and loves playing Dames. When not being a dame, he has appeared as Baron Hard Up in RCT Theatres production of Cinderella, a Role he reprised in 2014 at The Harlow Playhouse with Joe Swash. Recent work includes two new musicals at The Union Theatre – Remains of The Day and 1888 (based on the murders of Jack the Ripper); the award winning Titanic at The Southwark Playhouse as well as the UK premier of A Catered Affair. Other recent credits include Earnest in Bedroom Farce (On Tour) Paul in Ballroom (Waterloo East Theatre) and TV drama Taboo with Tom Hardy. In addition to all this, Dudley is still recognised to this day as the interviewer from hell in the Bacardi Breezer adverts!
