Welcome to the IUG Student Council’s main page where you can find all the information you need about our upcoming activities and events.
The IUG Student Council was formed by the students for the students, its primary role is to act as an intermediary between the students and the university. As such the Student Council is the voice for any concerns, recommendations and complaints students may have, but at the same time the Student Council also acts as a channel through which the university can reach the students. It is also a great chance for students to get to know each other more through planned events held by the student council. Throughout the years many events are planned, such as the annual ski trip which takes place every January to Zermatt, in order for students from abroad to experience the great Swiss alps. All revenue from our events is being donated to charity. This year we have chosen to support Save the Children in hopes of making a difference for children suffering from global crises.

The group of IUG delegates has submitted its proposition papers, and is ready for the debates at the United Ambassadors Conference next weekend, May 12th-15th here in Geneva. The group of delegates will be representing three countries in the Security Council: United Kingdom, Egypt, and Bolivia. Stay tuned for pictures from the conference next week. IUG’s Football team has been finalized and the team is ready to get the ball rolling on the football pitch. The team is still open to any other students interested in playing football.
