We organize events and meetings with professionals. The main goal is to bring their experiences, know-how, and backgrounds to our members. Training sessions and case studies are also part of the program. Moreover, for all the members there is the opportunity to meet the professionals directly during a refreshment.

We are proud to announce our first in-company-visit event at Thalia Invest, a Swiss Alternative Asset Management Company based in Lugano. The event will take place on May 9th, at Thalia Office in Via Pietro Peri 18 - Lugano. Participants will have the great opportunity to attend a presentation, hold by Thalia managers; they will illustrate the company mission and discuss about the factors and elements peculiar of their investment process. This event is for Lugano Finance Club members only. Application (on rolling basis) can be sent via mail to info@luganofinanceclub.ch. Only 10 places are available.

Finance: a platform for a cross cultural career? Dr. Paolo Castagna Today - 6:00 p.m., room 253 USI Università della Svizzera italiana (Official Page). Dr. Castagna began his career in Magirus Deutz AG, before becoming Managing Director of Fiat Deutschland GmbH and member of supervisory board in Fiat Automobil Ag and Sorin Biomedica AG. He was Finance Responsible for Fiat in India and Pakistan before becoming Asst.Treasurer of Case worldwide. He was Finance Director of Orenstein & Koppel AG, Managing Director of CNH Deutschland and Case Harvesting GmbH and Case Steyr GmbH. He was nominated Chief Accounting Officer for Europe Operations for CNH Global NV. He became Managing Director of Fiat India Automobiles PVT Ltd. In 2007 was Head of Restructuring worldwide in Hypovereinsbank Unicreditbank, where he was member of strategic risk committee and credit committee: further he was MD of Unicredit Beteiligungs GmbH and member of Investment Committee in CMP Fund. Since january 2017 he is senior adviser for investment funds and restrucuturing companies. He is member of advisory board of Handelsblatt for restructuring and member of Insol Academic Forum.

Lugano Finance Club Team, thanks to the collaboration with Prof. Ferdinando Bruno, has the pleasure to announce its next event at USI on May 2nd - 6:00 p.m. (room 253 - Main Building). The speaker Dr. Paolo Castagna will talk about his international experience in Finance and Restructuring and he will provide students with interesting suggestions for their future career path. The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes and there will be time for Q&A's. After the event an apero will be offered and Lugano Finance Club Team will reveal how to apply for its limited-enrollment company-visit event that will take place in May.

On April 27th an interesting event on “Cyber Risk Insurance and the coming GDPR” organized by Swiss FinTech Lugano will take place at Villa Sassa, Lugano.
