Chesa Grischuna is part of the Romantik Hotels group www.romantikhotels.com The Hotel, along with its accompanying Chalet Grischuna, lives up to the "Romantik" name. The Chesa Grischuna was designed by the top Zurich architect Hermann Schneider in 1938, in the run-up to a Swiss national exhibition, as a total work of art of its time. He succeeded beautifully in blending traditional craftsmanship with creative contemporary art, down to the last detail.
During the Second World War the Chesa was a favourite among GI’s, who returned later for holidays. It soon attracted writers and celebrities from the movie industry, and the Chesa became known affectionately as ‚Hollywood on the rocks’.
The long-standing tradition of warm hospitality continues in the hands of Barbara Guler and Marianne Hunziker. The legendary Chesa restaurant boasts 15 Gault Millau points and serves a cuisine that adapts to fresh market produce. In the Chesa Bar there is live music, while eating raclette becomes a whole new experience in the Carigiet Bar and Tavern with its bowling alley
